This series comprises of the muster rolls of the 12th - 15th volunteer infantry regiments as they were mustered into federal service for action in the Philippines during the Spanish – American War. The muster rolls include the following information:

  • Name
  • Rank
  • Description (age, height, eye and hair color, complexion)
  • Nativity (state or country/ town or county)
  • Occupation
  • When and when enrolled
  • When and when mustered
  • Residence (town or post office)
  • Remarks (promotions, discharged, resigned, medical conditions)
