This collection contains three folders consisting of the papers relating to the service of Sidney Rogers. Folder one contains the service record, correspondence, and miscellaneous papers collected by Sidney. Folder two contains his transfer and general orders during his service. Folder three contains notes that he took while in the service.

Biographical / Historical

Sidney Rogers was born on 7 August 1891 to William Rogers and Bertha (Gates) Rogers in St. Paul, MN. He enlisted in the Army on 15 September 1915 at St. Louis, Missouri. While in the service, he participated in the Mexican Punitive Expedition from 1916-1917. Some of the units Sidney was associated with include 2nd Engineers, 9th Engineers, 3rd Engineer and Repl. Regiment, and 5th Engineer Train. He achieved the rank of First Sergeant when his term of service ended on 20 March 1920. After leaving the service, he married Anna Rogers. Sidney died on 14 November 1987 in St. Paul, MN.
