From Fergus Falls - Killed in an automobile accident on March 29, 1968, at Newport, RI, where he was stationed with the Navy. Buried in First Lutheran North Cemetery, Fergus Falls.

Marine. From Bluffton - Son of Ambrose Beringer. PFC Beringer died from wounds suffered when a large shell exploded in a beach landing area November 22, 1965. Buried in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Bluffton, MN

David James Carlson William Carlson*

From Pelican Rapids - A 1967 graduate of Pelican Rapids High School, Billy Carlson entered the service on May 6, 1968. He left for Vietnam on October 6, following a three-week fulough at home. He died on November 14, 1968 when enemy mortar fire struck the encampment at Chu Chi, South Vietnam. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carlson. Buried in Central Swede Grove Cemetery, Erhards Grove Township.

Lowell R. Cordes

From Henning - Airman First Class Lowell Cordes died in an automobile accident at Strasburg, France on March 5, 1966. Son of Herman and Anna (Neels) Cordes. He graduated from Henning in 1963 and entered the Air Force in September. Buried in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Leaf Lake Township.

Clyde D. Dawson*

Had Perham connections - Major Dawson, a fighter pilot, was flying an aircraft which was shot down over Vietnam on March 23, 1966. Dawson had been in the Air Force for about 15 years. He was married to Ellen Samuelson, daughter of a Sebeka minister. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

Ronald Dean Fogard*

From Battle Lake - Marine Private First Class Ronald D. Fogard was killed by a hand grenade in Vietnam June 18, 1968. Born Feb. 18, 1948 and grew up in the Amor community. He was the son of Leonard and Ivy Fogard. Buried in Silent Vale Cemetery, Maine Township.

Ralph Stephan Guck*

From Parkers Prairie - Staff Sgt. Ralph Guck died on November 29, 1970 when the plane on which he was a passenger went down. Ralph Guck was born in Baker, Montana the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Guck. He attended school at Parkers Prairie and graduated in 1961. Buried in Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD.

From Fergus Falls - Son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hagen of Fergus Falls. Jerome was a crew member of a Navy mine sweeper which collided with a French ship along the shores of Vietnam on January 14, 1967. Buried in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Leaf Lake Township.

Warren Hall*

Graduated from Parkers Prairie - Son of Glen and Myrtle Hall. Killed near the demilitarized zone when injured by a booby trap while on patrol. He was a 1963 graduate of Parkers Prairie High School. Buried in Parkers Prairie City Cemetery.

ElRoy Edwin Harworth*

From Elizabeth - Listed as missing in action on May 31, 1966. He was declared dead in 1974. His remains were not positively identified by the Army until 1986. Mr. Harworth was born Jan. 10, 1942, in Erhard, son of Edwin and Lucille Harworth. He graduated from Underwood High School in 1959. He married Pat Whited on Feb. 19, 1966. Buried in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Fergus Falls.

Thomas Hasbargen

Worked in Fergus Falls - He died Feb. 26, 1972 in an auto accident near Chanute Field, IL. He was born in Breckenridge and graduated from Breckenridge High School. He was married to Diane Swenson and they had two daughters. Buried in First Lutheran North Cemetery, Fergus Falls.

Michael Gregory Jenson*

From Elizabeth - Sergeant Michael Jenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jenson. He was killed in combat. He enlisted in the Army after graduation from Moorhead State Collge in 1968. Buried in Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Fergus Falls. James Krull*

Corporal. Army Medical Corpsman. Had Deer Creek connections. Home town: Herman, MN. Died July 9, 1970 in Cambodia. Buried in Sunset Rest Cemetery, Rushmore, MN.

Ronald Lemke

From Parkers Prairie - Died while on leave from the Navy serving in Vietnam. He drowned in Lake Charlotte near Rockford, MN. Buried in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Stearns Co., MN.

Richard Ned Lillis*

From Richville - Richard Lillis was with "C" Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines. He was killed while on patrol by flying shrapnel from an enemy explosion. He was a native of Dead Lake Township. Buried in the Richville Cemetery.

Ernest Allen Lind

From Parkers Prairie - Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Lind. Died as a result of an auto accident on January 18, 1969 at the Army General Hospital at Landshaul, Germany. He was married to Nancy Spaulding. Buried in Parkers Prairie City Cemetery.

Gary Vaughn Lovellette*

From Fergus Falls - Army Specialist 4 Gary Lovellette, a son of Mrs. Albert Unger of Fergus Falls. He was killed in action in South Vietnam Dec. 29, 1969. Graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1966. He had been in Vietnam since Feb. 3, 1969. Buried in Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN.

William John Moltzan*

From Dent - Army Specialist, died May 12, 1968 when a .45 caliber pistol being handled by another soldier accidentally discharged, striking Moltzan. He was the son of William E. and Ann Moltzan. He graduated from Perham High School. He was married to Nicoline Christianson in 1963. Buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery near Dent, MN.

Roland Moore*

From Battle Lake/Fergus Falls - Sergeant Roland E. Moore was killed in Vietnam April 8, 1968. He died of gunshot wounds while on a combat operation. He was married to Barbara. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor W. Moore. Buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls. Larry Lee Olson

Tony John Quitmeyer*

From Parkers Prairie - Specialist Tony Quitmeyer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto F. Quitmeyer was killed January 9, 1968 by a mortar shell while serving with the Army in Vietnam. he entered the service on March 20, 1967, and went overseas in October. He was a member of the 35th Infantry, 2nd Battalion, 4th Division. Born June 13, 1948 at Parkers Prairie and graduated from Parkers Prairie hHigh School in 1966. Buried in Parkers Prairie City Cemetery.

Marcus Sherwin Stoen*

From Pelican Rapids - Injured in Vietnam and taken to the hospital at Camp Zama, Japan, where he passed away on March 14, 1971. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Stoen of Norwegian Grove Township. A 1967 graduate of Pelican Rapids High School. Buried in North Immanuel East Cemetery in Norwegian Grove Township.

Ronald Stoltenow*

Private First Class. Fergus Falls connections. Hometown Hankinson, ND. Married. Died November 7, 1967 by hostile gunfire. Buried in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton, North Dakota.

William O. Wagner Ronald K. Wilson*

Specialist Fourth Class. Had Parkers Prairie connections - Killed April 28, 1969 by an artillery barrage while on patrol duty in Vietnam. The son of Roland Wistrom and Dottie Ost Wistrom. Buried in the Parkers Prairie Cemetery.
