Content Description From the Collection:

This is a collection of the personal paperwork, correspondence, and photos of John W. Vessey Jr. and his wife Avis. This primarily covers Vessey's time as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff but also includes material from his childhood through post-retirement.
